The Forum's objective is to
pull together those with a business interest in Russia.
Russia is currently showing considerable growth,
the rouble has stabilized, inflation and unemployment are down - and business
activity continues to show strong growth. Many NZ companies are already
succeeding in Russia. The Forum was formed by a
group who are experienced and successful in the Russian market. The chance
to meet with such professionals whose background covers education, trade,
tourism, investment and consultancy, is invaluable.
The Forum will pull together those with a serious interest in
the Russian market. It will enable for
the quick dispersement of enquiries and information in addition
to statistical data - plus the coordination
of meetings to coincide with official and other visits. In
addition the Forum will publish a monthly newsletter and
distribute regular gazetted updates on law changes and amendments in
Russia. The Forum will also help in arranging visa
support as required, beit for organised Forum missions or
independent travel.
The Forum will also have
a well qualified and experienced representative based in Moscow to
assist in coordinating activity on the Russian side.
The Auckland Chamber of Commerce
will manage the secretariat on behalf of the Forum,
and the Forum will have a working relationship, on an
as required basis, with central and local government agencies and
ministries to maximise bilateral cooperation and facilitate the
introduction of suitable partners. The Forum will also be
able to provide an industry voice on specific issues.
Membership of the Russia New Zealand Business Forum is available by application. To apply, see our Membership page.
Russian Ambassador to New Zealand's letter to the forum:
01 December,
2005
As promised, my address to the Forum Report:
It
is a great pleasure for me to welcome the launch of the monthly newsletter
“Forum Report”. I hope it will successfully herald activities of the newly
incorporated Russian/NZ Business Forum. As we are informed, it is comprised
of professionals in education, trade, tourism, investment and consultancy.
There are plans to set up its experienced representative in Moscow,
the capital of Russia, to assist in coordinating activities on the Russian
side thus making our cooperation a “two way
street”.
Based upon constructive and mature dialogue
and interaction between our countries in world affairs we consider it highly
important to boost up the bilateral economic cooperation as well, especially
in the fields of high tech and business services. The “Forum Report” has a
good chance to make its contribution to the achievement of this
goal.
With best wishes,
Mikhail N.
Lyssenko
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to New
Zealand
